Our very first Kumira experience was an absolute success! In that experience, our staff and clients with disabilities socialized, connected, and shared 2 games of bowling together. Because of the work that we are embarking on, we are creating and cultivating community change by advancing re-integration, and lowering the barriers to true community inclusion.
Our on-demand experiences allow community members to connect together and create connection, and share their knowledge with the greater community and reduce the isolation in our communities on a systemic level. Our website is accessible to all, and we have tools on our website to improve accessibility.
We’ve been developing this program and doing the research for months at this point, and we celebrate and thank those who contributed to this program for its first experience and it’s success.
